Former Surendra Nath Banerjee Professor of Political Science, University of Calcutta, has an abiding interest in the political and intellectual history of Marxism. One of his remarkable work "Comintern and the Destiny of Communism in India 1919-1943: Dialectics of Real and a Possible History",which has been translated into German and Malayalam languages also. He is currently working on George Lukacs and Nikolai Bukharin, the two remaining volumes of the series "The Socialist Vision and the Silenced Voices of Democracy".
